This role is an essential component of the Loveseitan team. We work remotely which provides flexibility but also brings its own challenges. The selected candidate needs to be comfortable with working remotely and must have an appropriate work environment set up at home.

We are a small team and are all committed to establishing Loveseitan as a key player in the vegan food industry. Our drivers are to:

  • establish seitan as a mainstream vegan meat alongside tofu, jackfruit and the various other vegan meat alternatives
  • offer the best vegan options to those looking to replace meat in their diets thereby reducing the number of animals that are sent for slaughter.

This can be a demanding role and, for the right person, provides an exciting opportunity to build a career in the vegan food business. If you are up for a challenge and meet the criteria below we’d love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities (examples, will be a fluid list)

  • Process orders on our ordering system Unleashed
  • Work with bookkeeper to manage orders, stock levels etc
  • Provide operational support to MD, sales, marketing and despatch teams
  • Maintain product specifications
  • Coordinate responses to customer technical queries
  • Event management: stand design, marketing materials, information requests
  • Process sample requests
  • Ad hoc projects: Examples: Vegan Society Certification, Trademarks, rollout of new task management tool, new packaging

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree level qualification preferable but not essential. Minimum A Level or equivalent
  • 12 months experience in similar role preferable but not essential
  • Experience of working remotely
  • Experience of Office tools: Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Experience of the following software tools would be a big positive but training will be given to the selected candidate:
  • Unleashed
  • Xero
  • Slack
  • Zoom
  • Task management tools such as ClickUp, Trello
  • Experience of dealing with customers

  • Excellent communicator: we work remotely and the business relies on everyone in the team communicating regularly on progress, updates etc. We use Slack and Zoom as our main internal communication platforms
  • Confident: the business is continuously evolving and the ability to deal with new situations and processes with minimal support is essential
  • Proactive: willingness to dive in and help where required without being asked 
  • Organised: our business is becoming complex as we grow and the need to be organised is essential to ensure nothing is missed
  • Resilient: we have deadlines and demanding customers that sometimes create a pressured work environment. The selected candidate must be able to work under pressure and must not be afraid to ask for help if things get too much for them to handle.  
  • Practical: As we grow as a business we need to identify practical solutions to new situations
  • Team player: we are a small, tight knit team and always looked to help each other
  • Personable: a positive attitude and a sense of humour are essential qualities
  • Versatile: this role will evolve with the business and will require the selected candidate to flex their skills and experience in new directions as the business develops
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Not afraid of asking questions
