Planthood is looking for a full-time operations manager to join us as we begin an exciting new chapter of growth.

Planthood (www.planthood.com) is a plant-based D2C subscription company, offering weekly meal plans, prepared meals, speciality products and more. We make delicious and healthy chef-prepared vegan food products, all in the name of making plant-based eating fun, easy and delicious.

Our brand is heavily focussed on health and sustainability, from how we produce and deliver our products, to working closely with nature and environmental charities.

We launched the company in September 2020 and we have been blown away by the response from customers so far. We are immensely passionate about the vegan movement and proud to use our business as a force for good. YOUR ROLE

As Operations Manager you will be an integral part of our team, running the show behind the scenes. From order management, to product management to customer service. You will wear a lot of hats, so this job is a job for all the natural-born multitaskers.

There is a huge opportunity to learn and grow with a startup from the beginning of its journey and there are many exciting directions this role could take you in.

You will take the lead on a wide range of tasks to ensure that all operations run smoothly, with a great degree of self-responsibility, so being highly proactive and keeping on top of things is a must. You will work with and report directly to the co-founders. This will be a hybrid of working from our production kitchen in Bow, Hackney, with the potential for remote working too.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsibility for the smooth and efficient running of our day-to-day operations, from supplier liaison, to product management, to customer support and marketing
• Liaising via email and phone with both customers and suppliers
• Assisting with product and website management including orders and refunds 
• Responsible for dealing with sponsorship and partnership requests, including negotiating pricing and logistics
• Assisting the co-founder with ad-hoc projects including recruitment, new supplier research and marketing initiatives 
• General office admin including data handling and copywriting

ABOUT YOU

• You hold an undergraduate degree or have equivalent work experience
• Previous operational or administrative work experience welcome but not strictly necessary
• Incredible organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Highly proactive and self-sufficient - you can will make and deliver on your own work plans and have a proven ability to meet deadlines and juggle priorities
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Suite including Word/Docs, Excel/Sheets and Powerpoint/Slides
• If you are a spreadsheet whizz this will be a huge advantage, as will a proven ability to help out with copywriting for marketing
• Flexible and adaptable as the role changes and grows with the company
