On a mission to ‘cluck the system’, they are challenging the norms for indulgent, feel-good convenience food. VFC are rebellious, playful and fuelling a food revolution that captures the heart and stomachs of a mainstream flexitarian audience. The business has made a huge impact, and ruffled many feathers, in a short time frame and is now looking to expand its team with the hiring of a cluckin’ awesome Marketing Manager.
The successful candidate will be working with VFC Founders: Matthew Glover (CEO, Co-Founder of Veganuary and Veg Capital), Adam Lyons (COO, Award-winning Chef) and the wider senior leadership team members.

YOUR OPPORTUNITY
VFC are seeking an outstanding Marketing Manager with a ‘cluck yeah’ attitude and bags of entrepreneurial spirit. You will share in their mission to create a successful global food brand that is making a positive, measurable difference for our world and the lives of people and animals living in it.
This would be an ideal position for an ambitious Senior Brand Manager to land in the epicentre of the biggest growth opportunity in the food industry.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
VFC’s Marketing Manager is responsible for:
Leading the development and implementation of brand initiatives and working with key stakeholders within – and outside – of the organisation to drive success across the world.
Building, leading and developing a high performing marketing team.
Establish the true scope of marketing opportunities across each channel including retail, foodservice, international and online / e-commerce and build plans to realise them.
To manage the day-to-day implementation of the consumer and trade brand plans on time and to budget whilst ensuring all communications are consistent and compliant with brand guidelines.
Working closely with the product development team to drive a consumer led NPD process and project manage EPD & NPD projects and ensure timely launch.
Managing the design and artwork implementation process, liaising with external design agencies and managing in house packaging approval process.
Manage the brand budget: maintaining spend reports.
Assimilating brand and market information and produce brand presentations and monthly status reports, to be used with the wider business.
Help to establish and define the VFC company values and proactive working culture.
Undertake any other tasks commensurate with the requirements and skills and competency base of the role.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Success in a Senior Brand Manager or Marketing Manager role gained within a FMCG or Retail organisation.
A successful track record of developing and executing marketing plans from scratch.
A commercially minded marketer who understands the NPD launch process and the complexities of introducing new innovations to the UK and International food markets.
A deep and broad understanding of consumer, trade and shopper initiatives, embedded within excellence in brand management.
Strong agency management expertise.
Action orientated, bringing energy and drive to the immediate and wider team.
Great team player with the ability to support, to lead, to care and to tell things as they are.
Astute problem solver with analytical skills to interpret data, future market trends and an ability to challenge the norm.
Strong attention to detail.
A high energy, self-starter who naturally thrives in a culture of individual accountability and shared ownership.
Entrepreneurial flair - familiar with ambiguity and energised by the process of building a sustainable organisation from the ground up.
A demonstrable ability to inspire people – both internal and external - around critical issues.
The successful candidate will be aligned to the mission - displaying a passion for saving animals, sustainability and protecting the environment.
LOCATION
The successful candidate can be based remotely in the UK but may be required to attend our clients Yorkshire based HQ 2/3 days per month. Occasional visits to agency partners and manufacturing facility comes with the territory at this level.
