Marketing Manager

The Marketing Manager will play an instrumental role in launching the Papaya marketplace by establishing and growing the Papaya brand. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with a small founder-led team to craft the company narrative and share its mission with a growing plant-curious audience.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Create, execute, and manage online content for Papaya platforms, including Instagram, and Facebook (as well as Twitter and TikTok)
• Work with Papaya team on creative strategies to develop and grow community and user base, and ensure a cohesive voice across all Papaya platforms
• Create content (copy, visuals) for Papaya social channels, emails
• Design and implement technical side of marketing strategies, including interfacing with the backend of our tech platform, Mailchimp and Webflow
• Conduct outreach to influencers, media networks, and creators to grow the user base for Papaya and partner restaurants
• Sync with restaurant partners and their marketing teams to support their sharing of Papaya content
• Track social media, restaurant delivery, and plant-based landscape, and identify new areas for growth
• Conceive and coordinate innovative promotional strategies (such as virtual workshops with restaurants and chef partners, IG lives, as well as events)

• Liaise with digital advertising efforts via external agencies
• Other duties as needed

Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements

• Minimum 3-5 years of marketing experience or related field
• Experience with Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, as well as posting platforms, like Hootsuite or Creator Studio
• Formal graphic design skills a plus, but experience with Canva or other basic graphic design programs encouraged
• Excellent writing abilities
• Strong time management, attention to detail, and multi-tasking abilities
• Desire to work in a demanding, rigorous, yet highly rewarding, start up environment with opportunities for leadership
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate over online channels

Position is full time, based out of New York, NY. WFH. Competitive pay.
