Food Technologist

In your role at Lupinta, you will be responsible for new product development R&D from planning to execution. As a food technologist, you will be responsible for the development of the prototypes, testing them with potential customers, evaluation feedback, upscaling, and test production. Furthermore, contributing to the expansion of the Lupinta categories.   

We are looking for a passionate, creative, and dedicated team member to join our team in Malmö. Are you self-motivated, team player, gaol oriented, familiar with GMP and developing SOP document as well as outside the box thinker, then it is you we are looking for.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the R&D and product development team
• Provide written and verbal reports of research activities, collect and analyze data
• Research and follow up in new R&D about lupin beans qualities and new products based on them
• Develop prototypes and new product formulations
• Conduct client testing, post testing evaluation and implementation of needed modification
• Develop processes and formulations for scale-up production
• Ensure food safety standards are met
• Develop technical product specification
• Responsible for product specification and legalization
• Generate ingredient statements and nutritional information, and customer information in the package

Qualifications

• Experience with food processing technologies
• Strong working knowledge of ingredient functionality, flavor, formulation, and food labeling and legislations as well as product claims
• Ability to manage multiple projects
• Ability to design and work independently to deliver results according to project time plan

Desired, meriting:

• Ph.D. in food and technology or related field or M. Sc food and technology or related field with 2-5 years of experience in the food industry
• Experienced with food new product development, preferably plant-based
