On a mission to ‘cluck the system’, they are challenging the norms for indulgent, feel-good convenience food. VFC are rebellious, playful and fuelling a food revolution that captures the heart and stomachs of a mainstream flexitarian audience. The business has made a huge impact, and ruffled many feathers, in a short time frame and is now looking to expand its team with the hiring of a cluckin’ awesome Logistics and Supply Chain Manager.
The successful candidate will be working with VFC Founders: Matthew Glover (CEO, Co-Founder of Veganuary and Veg Capital), Adam Lyons (COO, Award-winning Chef) and the wider VFC Senior Leadership team members.

YOUR OPPORTUNITY
VFC are seeking an outstanding Logistics and Supply Chain Manager with a ‘cluck yeah’ attitude and bags of attention to detail. You will share in their mission to create a successful global food company that is making a positive, measurable difference for our world and the lives of people and animals living in it.
This would be an ideal position for an ambitious logistics specialist to make an impact in the biggest growth opportunity in the food industry.

You will take ownership for the product supply chain in the UK and internationally. VFC are already making great progress expanding their global footprint.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
VFC’s Logistics and Supply Chain Manager is responsible for:
Facilitating the shipping of delicious food products from various manufacturing facilities to dedicated fulfilment hubs.
Arrange transportation and orchestrate deliveries to meet customer demand with little to no delay or shortages.
Receive products and coordinates all co manufacturing demand & deliveries.
Work alongside the commercial function to understand end customer demand plans.
Prepares & submit required international shipping documentation.
Takes steps to avoid any quality control issues.
Makes sure warehouse capacity is kept at optimal levels.
Manages activities throughout the order fulfilment and transportation cycle to make sure established deadlines are met.
Manage inventory of goods including raising of purchase orders, booking in deliveries and maintaining stock management system.
Continually reviews freight costs, transportation rates etc to keep costs down where possible.
Streamlines shipping and transportation processes.
The successful candidate will be well organised, with the ability to create plans under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Comfortable working in both a team environment but also standalone initially.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Working examples of managing complex international distribution networks.
Experience of working with Co Manufacturers and production facilities.
Good knowledge of import/export processes and operating across multiple time zones.
A strong track record within a food manufacturing environment would be highly beneficial.
Building strong teams with the ability to work standalone initially.
Strong attention to detail - Advanced user of Excel.
Action orientated, bringing energy and drive to the immediate and wider team.
Great team player with the ability to support, to lead, to care and to tell things as they are.
Astute problem solver with analytical skills to interpret data, future market trends and an ability to challenge the norm.
A high energy, self-starter who naturally thrives in a culture of individual accountability and shared ownership.
The successful candidate will be aligned to the mission - displaying a passion for saving animals, sustainability and protecting the environment.
LOCATION
The successful candidate can be based remotely in the UK but must be accessible to the VFC HQ in York. Occasional visits to distribution partners and Co manufacturing facility comes with the territory at this level. There may also be the international trips from time to time.
