Brave New Food connects established food companies such as Kraft Heinz, FrieslandCampina and Bonduelle to innovative startups and scale-ups with next generation food solutions.

In this way we create a valuable community in which we actively stimulate collaboration between all parties involved. We also share our knowledge and networks, and we invest in promising companies. Watch our pitch video below to see what we do and check out our website.

Brave New Food is a European oriented food innovation platform with great ambitions. More than 40 internationally operating partners that represent a great deal of the food industry, a handful of investors and hundreds of food startups and scale-ups have already joined our club and we welcome new companies every month.

So far our first Open Calls yielded over 700 pitches by startups and scale-ups from 34 countries that resulted in over 200 matches between brand new and established food companies that want to explore collaboration. A result we are - of course - very proud of, but it’s only the beginning. Our challenge now is to stay on track and accelerate our growth and impact where possible.

We are a young and dynamic startup company but already have the traction of a leading food innovation platform. Our founding team members have an impressive track record and network in the food industry, the startup- and open innovation scene. You will work closely with the founders and the rest of the team and our partners so you can learn and expand your network rapidly. 

The larger our club of game changers, the larger the impact we can make. That will be your mission! You will put Brave New Food on the map as a strong brand, build and guard a strong community of food oriented game changers - both established food companies and promising new food ventures.

Further develop and manage our programs and events by increasing the quality and appeal of our platform. You will build brand awareness and communicate Brave New Food's mission and activities in close cooperation with the other team members. Your main specific responsibility is to lead our open innovation platform to the next level. This includes:

• Expanding and strengthening our community. Build and maintain collaborations with our (network) partners and experts.
• The organization of our (online) matchmaking and partner events. Check out the aftermovie of our last partner event below and a recap of our successful matchmaking event for Healthy Food Solutions here.
• Managing and executing our open call programs
• Developing and executing new programs and relevant offerings on our platform
• Contribute to building brand awareness

• Are a brave, hands-on, proactive and solution-oriented builder and team player
• Are a program, project or event manager with at least 4-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in an innovation or startup environment
• Are a go-getter who quickly converts plans and creative ideas into results
• Know which buttons to push to create partner engagement
• Are enthusiastic, positive and energetic
• Have a passion for food, innovation and entrepreneurship
• Are available 32 to 40 hours per week (flexible)
• Are fluent in Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing. An international background or experience is a nice-to-have
