Kitchen Manager

Palm Greens is opening a kitchen for delivery/collection only site and is looking for a kitchen manager to run it.
This is a great opportunity to improve managerial and kitchen operation skills while working as part of a modern, sustainably minded, plant based company.
We will be serving our core dishes from the kitchen, including our most popular salad bowls and extras.
We aim to source as sustainably and seasonally as possible, using whole, unrefined ingredients. We follow a low waste ethos in our kitchen and our work.
The successful candidate will report directly to the executive chef/director. We are a micro business, this will start as a very small team with the view to grow and expand, a great opportunity for the right person.
About you:
- Minimum 12 months experience of working in a professional kitchen
- Passionate about quality food
- Committed to low-waste principles and sustainable working ethics
- Managerial experience
- Positive and friendly team player
- Confidence and ability to work independently and to manage a team
- Ability to handle pressure and solve problems
- Excellent communication skills
- Food Hygiene Level 3
Job specifics:
- Management of food preparation, ensuring the customers are satisfied
- Stock control and ordering ingredients, weekly inventory
- Over seeing training of employees, ensuring equipment is handled correctly and hygiene standards are met
- Ensuring that all food items and products are stored, prepared and served based on the restaurant’s recipe, preparation and portion standards
- Kitchen hygiene management, including training and maintaining clean working environment
- Rota management
Pay and benefits:
- Competitive hourly rate or salary, £30,000 per annum, based on 45 hour working week
- 28 days holiday per annum pro rata (inclusive of bank holidays)
- Pay reviews based on performance, opportunity to grow
- On-shift meals
