Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

As the Chief Technology Officer, you will define and direct the path of technical development, owning the design and delivery of our intellectual property. As the leader of the science and R&D team, you will set the strategic direction for the team in line with the overarching company strategy and oversee all science operations, including some of our AI and processing programmes of work. You’ll sometimes need to engage with investors to effectively communicate progress and scientific developments, as well as leading new and existing IP, and support the CEO on product design and processing development.

We are seeking an experienced microalgae/biotech leader who is comfortable in the fast-paced requirements of growth stage biotech businesses and knows what it takes to build a team from a couple of people to over twenty, managing a P&L and science programme through the ups and downs of growth.
