The Opportunity

We are looking for an Associate Director of Operations who will be responsible for leading continuous improvement and efficiency across our back-end functions (distribution, transportation, supply chain, customer service, and factory/manufacturing) processes and systems for a growing omnichannel direct-to-consumer business (eCommerce and wholesale) and B2B business.

What you will do

  • Systems Management - Oversee implementation and optimization of Inventory Management / Order Management systems to ensure a smooth integration for accurate and timely data with minimal manual intervention. 
  • Downstream Logistics - Oversee and optimize all downstream shipping, receiving, storage, fulfillment, and return processing.
  • Department Reporting - Develop and maintain a robust set of departmental dashboards, KPIs and reports to monitor and measure performance.
  • Contract Management - Negotiate contracts and monitor the performance of our partners (3PL warehouses, outbound shipping solutions, return solutions, and systems vendors), and troubleshoot solutions.
  • Team Leadership & Development - Mentor, coach, and lead a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, improvement, and professional growth.
  • Cross-Functional Support - Clear communication across departments to ensure alignment between operations, accounting, marketing, and product. 
  • Sustainability Initiatives - Align operations with sustainability goals, focusing on reducing carbon footprint, waste, and inefficiencies in the supply chain.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in an analytical field (e.g. Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Operations, or Supply Chain) or equivalent years of experience
  • 5+ years of experience in operations or supply chain related work
  • Previous experience with ERP, WMS, and e-commerce systems
  • Working knowledge of warehousing operations, supply chain, production, and manufacturing processes
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts related to project evaluation, financial forecasting, return on investment, etc.
  • Proactive, ambitious and interested in educating and growing on the job
  • Acts rapidly and efficiently - proven time management
  • Experience managing and leading a team
