Operational Excellence Lead
"We are non-conformist Good Rebels, bringing the "WOW" to everything we do."
Our manifesto:
At Heura we’re food activists, and our mission is to provide a solution that leaves animals out of the food equation, while feeding millions of people in a sustainable way. Technology gives us the opportunity to build a food system that not only solves our current challenges but also responds to our values.
We’re currently looking for an Opex Lead who can contribute to our mission by supporting the Operations team on meeting its objectives in terms of service level, quality, working capital management, and cost optimization, therefore designing a framework of optimal Operational Excellence that keeps a mindset of consistent continuous improvement at the forefront.
The required framework of Operational Excellence must be holistic, it must be drafted according to a cross-functional perspective that includes all stakeholders, and its objective must be to ensure the optimal execution of all key processes. It must furthermore provide timely and accurate information that allows us to monitor the performance and needs of the Operations area, therefore facilitating the decision-making process and consequently improving business performance.
Your challenge:
⦁ Define, develop, and improve the Performance Management model:
1. Definition of operations metrics, preparation of the KPIs Handbook, calculation of the KPIs (sources, formula, frequency, etc.), definition of timely periodic reporting.
2. Participation in the target-setting process.
3. Leading the Performance Management dynamics with the Operations team.
4. Driving and following up on the required deep-dive analysis, conducting an RCA of the deviations, agreeing on action plans, and measuring the impact.
⦁ Lead the definition of operational and cross-functional standard policies, procedures, and processes according to a holistic mindset (activity workflows, RACI chart, metrics, etc.). Ensure that they are implemented and executed, and monitor adherence and continuous improvement.
⦁ Support the cost management process in the Operations area: budgeting process, financial reporting, cost management dynamics, deviation analysis, preparation and tracking of mitigation initiatives, etc.
⦁ Develop and consolidate the expertise of the Operations area on reporting and analytics needs (available information, data sources, queries, etc.), and prepare the required analysis.
⦁ Act as the Key user for IT Reporting within the Operations area. Coordinate with internal stakeholders and the IT department regarding activities for improving the Performance Management model: compilation of requirements, formalization of functional requirements, prioritization, UATs, and validation.
⦁ Handle project management depending on the area’s needs.
⦁ Consolidate all IT-related dynamics for the Operations area: consolidate the department’s needs, facilitate prioritization and decision-making, and monitor the progress of projects (preparation of URSs, development, UATs), in cooperation with the IT department or partners.
⦁ Drive and support the Operations Roadmap: preparation, consolidation, and tracking.
⦁ Set up the management framework for information and documentation of the Operations area.
⦁ Challenge the performance of Operations by identifying possible improvement opportunities, while ensuring a mindset of continuous improvement in all Operations-related processes.
You will rock in this role if:
⦁ More than anything else, you care about our mission, and you see it as a “personal” problem to be solved professionally.
⦁ You have an engineering degree.
⦁ You think in highly analytical terms.
⦁ You have experience in a data analytics or controlling position, which isn’t required but is a plus.
⦁ You have experience in a supply chain or operations department, which isn’t required but is a plus.
⦁ You are honest, humble, curious, creative, and the kind of person who exceeds expectations.
⦁ You are an advanced English speaker.
