With a well-established history in plant-based restaurants, The Vurger Co has expanded into FMCG, with its fantastic new range of condiments which launched in 2020. With a bursting new product development pipeline, and rapidly growing customer base, we are investing heavily in developing the highest quality sales team over the next 12 months.

We are looking for a highly skilled and effective Sales Director to come in, hit the ground running and rapidly develop our sales, in the UK and our rapidly growing international business too. The role will be very varied but will provide unrivalled opportunities for growth and progression in a very fast-growing company. The Sales Director will need to be extremely comfortable in a small business environment, will need to be extremely flexible and proactive and will ultimately have the opportunity to shape the business and develop our sales teams here in the UK and internationally too.

It is essential that the Sales Director has experience with FMCG, ideally with small challenger brands and also larger brands too, and can demonstrate tangible success in effectively growing sales of the food brands they have worked with. It is essential that the Sales Director has experience of food product sales within grocery, wholesale and foodservice.

Activities include, but are not limited to:

o Developing the overall Sales strategy
o Managing existing key accounts to ensure customers are getting a fantastic service
o Organise and perform sales demonstrations for retail customers
o Developing and growing a strong sales pipeline
o Attending new client meetings to pitch our product range
o Building great relationships with key customers
o Actively seeking out new business opportunities
o Organising and attending key trade shows and other events

o Building the international sales strategy and business development pipeline
o Responsible for starting to build out the Sales & Account Management team as the business continues to grow

We are growing quickly and this is a new and hugely exciting part of the The Vurger Co. You'll need to be very proactive, hugely motivated and very capable and comfortable working independently. You'll need to have a very flexible and adaptable approach to your work and always be prepared to get stuck in and keep moving the business forward. It's a high-pressure role which needs a results-focused person, who is also completely in tune with the brand, what it represents and where we're heading.

It's a perfect time for a very ambitious Sales Manager, or existing Sales Director, to join a great brand at a really exciting time. You'll be able to shape the direction and growth of the business and will have a lot of responsibility from day one. You will need to have strong sales and account management experience at other similar food brands, and be able to demonstrate how your previous work has helped fast-growing brands to develop into much larger brands.
