Shipping Supervisor

"We are looking for an active and enthusiastic Shipping Manager that can pick, pack, and ship our tasty cheeses from our warehouse!"

We are looking for someone that can deal with all our shipping and warehouse logistics. Some of the tasks will be the following:

Receive and Process Deliveries from Suppliers

• Accept incoming deliveries
• Quality Check materials and ingredients being delivered in accordance with our standards
• Record details of all items received and deliver internally to correct contact
• Keep inventory up-to-date when new materials received

Fulfil Customer Orders

• Enter customer orders received via emails and other channels
• Pick, Pack and Ship Business Orders
• Pick Pack and Ship Retail Customer Orders
• Deal with customer queries and complaints about orders and deliveries
• Show attention to detail and care when packing fragile items

Warehouse Management

• Track Stock Levels and ensure Stock is Rotated correctly to prevent waste
• Ensure sufficient stock of packaging, insulation and ice packs are available to use
• Keep Warehouse Clean and Tidy, ensure waste is removed and pallets are collected when no longer required
• Pack products ready for weekend market trading & deal with returned leftovers
• Ensure chilled storage locations are running at the correct temperatures

General Responsibilities & Expectations

• You should be organised and capable of managing your own workload to meet ours and customers expectations
• As a food business, we expect high standards of personal hygiene and cleanliness
• Be friendly and respectful to customers, colleagues and workers from other businesses
• Participate in General Cleaning and Housekeeping Duties as per any Rotas that exist
• Previous experience in a warehouse or kitchen environment is advantageous, but full training will be given
• Previous supervisory experience would be an advantage, as would knowledge of basic food hygiene principles
• While we are a vegan company, we do not require you to be vegan, but we do ask that you respect our ethics and the company culture.

Contract length: 12 months

Job Types: Full-time contract - Zero hours contract

Salary: starting at £26,000.00 per year - £11.05/hour
