Our Story

To create healthy, deliciously affordable vegan products for the good of all.

The Kind Kitchen grew from humble beginnings in early 2018 in our home kitchen, offering a small online menu to clients in Cape Town, via the food delivery service Uber Eats. By mid 2018 it became evident that we needed to find bigger premises and so we found a small but suitable location in the trendy suburb of Woodstock in Cape Town.

We crowdfunded portal and managed to raise a modest ZAR38000.00 which helped us with start-up costs and 1 months rental. By late 2019 we were offering our meals in two full service restaurants in Cape Town. Namely The Woodstock Brewery and on the Constantia Uitsig wine estate.

However with the global restrictions placed on restaurants due to COVID-19, it became increasingly important to remain lean and agile. Sadly at the end of 2020 we closed both our physical restaurants and continued to offer our artisanal handcrafted products to wine farms and deli’s
